Meet the Team

Kelly

Chief Executive Officer

Kelly, a dual-degree alumni of East Carolina University and Garner native, brings a passion for processes and continuity plus years of accounting experience. She has certifications in QuickBooks® Desktop, QuickBooks® Online and SAP-B1. She has 30+ years in the accounting and IT fields which marry perfectly with our operations. As CEO, Kelly oversees every facet of Alpha ensuring we run as efficiently and productively as possible. She works tirelessly to make sure the team has every available resource to effectively take care of their clients and creates an atmosphere of open exchange of ideas.

In her spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family & friends (especially her son and dad), snuggling with her pets and baking. She lives in Clayton, NC with her husband and 6 fur babies.

Leslie

Founder

Founder of Alpha Accounting. Leslie is a QuickBooks® Advanced Certified Professional Advisor, and an Emeritus Member of the Accountant and Advisor Customer Council of Intuit®, Inc. She meets with clients to help implement tools and systems to grow their businesses. She has a passion to educate clients and help them achieve their goals. She and her husband live in Raleigh and have 12 grandchildren.

Terri

Business Development Director

Terri joined the team in 2007 with a good deal of business savvy having been a small business owner herself. With more than 20 years’ experience and being a Certified QuickBooks® Desktop & Online ProAdvisor, she brings her passion for teaching and helping others understand the importance of their financial data. Terri now takes that knowledge, experience & passion to the marketing side. Together with the CEO, she develops & implements marketing programs that not only reach new clients but deepen the relationship with current clients and team members.

A transplant from Richmond, VA, Terri and her family have called North Carolina home for the last 20+ years. She enjoys spending time with her grown kids, training her new fur baby, baking, and laughing!

Susan

Senior Accounting Associate

Susan has been with our team since 2000. A graduate of UNC Wilmington, she is a Certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor and spent several years working with CPA firms before joining Alpha. She works with many industries including construction, distributors, medical, advertising, trucking, interior design, non-profit, and real estate clients. She serves Durham and northwest Raleigh in North Carolina.

When not assisting clients, Susan enjoys reading, serving with her church and spending time with her family & friends. She lives in Durham, NC with her husband and princess daughter.

Carrie

Senior Accounting Associate

As an Advanced Certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor and over 20 years’ experience working with small-medium sized businesses, across various industries, Carrie enjoys finding ways to help companies work smarter not harder. The team refers to her as the excel queen as she can really get lost in a good spreadsheet.

For fun, in her hometown of Indianapolis, she loves hanging out with and spoiling her granddaughters when she is not riding her Slingshot or taking in the view on the back of her husband’s bike.

Tiffany

Client Support Specialist

Tiffany joined Alpha Accounting in June 2020 as our Client Support Specialist. She has since added the role of Administrative Assistant. Along with these roles, she backs up team members when/wherever she is needed. QuickBooks® Online certified and with over 15 years’ experience in bookkeeping and CPA firm settings, she is familiar with the lingo and understands the importance of due dates and deadlines. Tiffany is the glue that holds our Alpha family together!

Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family and friends attending outdoor concerts, classic car shows and antiquing.

Tiffany lives in Indiana with her husband of 32 years and their two cats. She has two adult daughters who both live close by and visit often.

Janice

Accounting Associate

Janice is QuickBooks® certified and has been a part of Alpha’s team since 2021. She managed several successful trucking companies for almost a decade before putting her focus on the diverse group of clients here at Alpha. She loves developing a friendly and professional relationship with those she works with and being their teammate.

She lives in NJ and spends her free time behind the wheel of a truck doing transport work.

MarthA

Tax Specialist

Martha brings over 20 years of tax experience and is our go-to tax gal. She enjoys helping clients navigate the ever-changing tax world and making sure they feel taken care of.

When not doing taxes, she loves taking care of fur babies! She lives in Indianapolis with her husband.

Murphy

Office Mascot

Murphy officially joined the Alpha team in 2022 at our Garner, NC office. He brings over 7 years’ experience standing guard, bringing smiles and getting belly rubs.

When he’s not in the office, Murphy enjoys spending time with his siblings and stealing mom’s spot on the sofa.
